RealScroll respects the intellectual property rights of creators, artists, and rights holders and expects users of the platform to do the same. This policy explains how copyrighted content and music are handled on RealScroll and outlines the responsibilities of users who upload content.

This policy also explains how copyright owners can report alleged infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

User Responsibility for Content

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload, post, share, or otherwise make available on RealScroll.

By posting content on the platform, you represent and warrant that:

You own the content you are posting, or
You have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and authorizations to use and share the content.

This includes any music, audio, images, videos, artwork, or other materials that may be protected by copyright.

RealScroll does not review or pre screen all user generated content for copyright compliance. Content uploaded to the platform is published independently by users, and RealScroll does not verify whether such content complies with copyright or intellectual property laws.

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the content they upload, share, or distribute on the platform does not infringe the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

If a user uploads copyrighted material without proper authorization, full responsibility for that content remains with the user who posted it.

Use of Copyrighted Content

Users may not upload, distribute, publish, or share copyrighted material on RealScroll unless they have permission from the copyright owner or are otherwise legally authorized to do so.

This includes but is not limited to:

Music recordings or songs
Audio tracks used in videos
Films or television clips
Videos created by other individuals or companies
Copyrighted images, artwork, or graphics

Uploading copyrighted material without permission may result in removal of the content and may lead to account restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

Music in User Content

If a user includes music in any content posted on RealScroll, the user is responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use that music.

Users should only upload content containing music if:

They created the music themselves
They own the rights to the music
They have obtained permission or a license from the copyright holder
The music is royalty free or legally licensed for use

RealScroll does not grant users any license to use copyrighted music unless explicitly stated. Any music included in user generated content must be legally authorized by the user who uploads it.

Platform Responsibility

RealScroll provides a platform that allows users to create and share content. RealScroll does not create, produce, control, or verify most content uploaded by users.

Because content is independently uploaded by users, RealScroll is not responsible for copyrighted material that may be posted without authorization.

Any legal claims or disputes related to copyrighted material uploaded to the platform remain the responsibility of the user who posted the content.

RealScroll reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any content that is reported or identified as potentially infringing intellectual property rights.

Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA Notice)

If you believe that content available on RealScroll infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA notice to our designated copyright contact.

Your notice must include the following information:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and sufficient information to allow us to locate the material on the platform.

Your contact information including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Submitting false or misleading claims may result in legal liability.

Counter Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled in error due to a copyright complaint, you may submit a counter notification.

Your counter notification must include:

Your physical or electronic signature.

Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.

A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.

Your name, address, and telephone number.

A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district or where RealScroll operates, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the copyright notice.

If a valid counter notification is received, RealScroll may restore the content unless the copyright claimant files a court action seeking a court order.

Repeat Infringer Policy

RealScroll maintains a policy for terminating the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

Accounts that repeatedly upload copyrighted material without proper authorization may be suspended or permanently removed from the platform.

Content Removal

RealScroll reserves the right to remove, restrict, or disable access to any content that may violate copyright laws, intellectual property rights, or this policy.

Content may be removed without prior notice if it is reported or reasonably believed to infringe the rights of copyright holders.

Policy Updates

RealScroll may update this Intellectual Property & DMCA Copyright Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
